The right work starts
with the right context.
Modernisation works best when it solves a concrete constraint: slow releases, manual environments, scaling limitations or tightly coupled components. The target pattern should follow the application.
When this service fits
- Applications with manual or inconsistent deployment steps
- Teams assessing containers or event-driven processing
- Platforms that need repeatable infrastructure and safer releases
How the work comes together.
Find the constraint
Review application dependencies, release frequency, failure modes and team operating requirements.
Design a small first change
Choose a container, serverless or managed-service pattern for a bounded workload. Define what success means.
Automate delivery
Implement agreed infrastructure definitions, build and release stages, configuration handling and approval points.
Validate & transfer
Exercise deployment, rollback and health checks. Document operations so the application team can own the result.
AWS components we consider.
The final selection follows the workload, compatibility and regional requirements. These components are a starting point for design.
Amazon ECS & AWS Fargate
Container workloads with managed compute options.
AWS Lambda & Amazon API Gateway
Function-based APIs and event processing when constraints fit.
Amazon ECR
Container image storage and release workflows.
AWS CloudFormation & AWS CodePipeline
Repeatable infrastructure and controlled delivery stages.
What you receive.
- Application assessment and modernisation roadmap
- Target architecture and decision record
- Infrastructure and deployment definitions
- Release, health-check and rollback procedures
- Knowledge transfer and operating notes
Agree how success is checked.
- An agreed environment can be recreated from its definitions.
- Release and rollback paths are demonstrated.
- Logs and health signals identify failed deployments.
What we need from you
Source code and dependency information, current release steps, performance requirements, application owners and a representative test environment.
How the scope is defined
Application rewrites, vendor product changes and data-model redesign are assessed separately. Managed compute still requires application-level security and operational ownership.
